NEW YEAR’S EVE AT BRINDISA

In Spain, the 31st of December is a very special celebration where the fun and partying go on well into the early hours.

At Midnight in Spain, with every chime of the clock that’s ringing in the New Year a grape must be eaten bringing
in good luck for the year ahead.

12 grapes, 12 bongs.

It’s said that the tradition originated in 1900s due
to a bumper crop of grapes in the vineyards of the
Almeria, Murcia and Alicante regions.

This tradition then grew as people would gather in the capitals’ town squares to eat their grapes and sip cava together; this is what led to the phenomenal street parties now witnessed every year in Spain.

Now, we’re not one for superstitions but every year we honour this tradition as it continues to bring us luck, love and prosperity at Brindisa. All things we
wish for you in the year ahead.

Join us in the 12 lucky grapes tradition and
in raising a glass of cava to the New Year.

We are taking bookings in all our restaurants including Tapas Brindisa London Bridge.

All bookings before 28th December will get a complimentary cocktail ‘Fizz Año Nuevo’ to celebrate when quoting ‘BrindisaNYE’.

¡Feliz año nuevo!
