NYE at Brindisa

Celebrate ‘Noche Vieja’ with us at our restaurants, and raise a ‘brindis’ to 2023.

We know last year wasn’t the New Years that everyone had hoped, but for us this is even more reason to to see 2023 in with a ‘bang!’

All of our restaurants will be open until 1am for you to see in the turn of the year, and we will be celebrating in true traditional Spanish style with cava and 12 grapes at 11pm (midnight Madrid time!)

London Bridge will be accepting bookings for the only time this year, in two seating’s at 7pm and 9pm. Email us now to secure your place.

We will be doing things a little differently at our Richmond restaurant. We have a specially curated New Years Eve menu and entertainment throughout the evening – click here to find out more.

The Tradition of the Twelve Grapes

At Midnight in Spain, with every chime of the clock that’s ringing in the New Year a grape must be eaten bringing
in good luck for the year ahead.

12 bongs, 12 grapes.

It’s said that the tradition originated in 1900s due
to a bumper crop of grapes in the vineyards of the
Almeria, Murcia and Alicante regions. The tradition then grew – people would gather in the capitals’ town squares to eat their grapes and sip cava together; this is what led to the phenomenal street parties now witnessed every year in Spain.

Now, we’re not one for superstitions but every year we honour this tradition as it continues to bring us luck, love and prosperity at Brindisa. All things we
wish for you in the year ahead.
