Tasting Tales #2: Sherry masterclass £15

When: Thursday 7th November, 6.30 – 7.30pm
Where: Tapas Brindisa Shoreditch

 

There’s more to grapes than your normal drinking wine you know. Sherry is one of the most popular Spanish drinks, and in our masterclass, you’ll find out just why. Sip your way through our favourite sherries and learn all about them. There’s nothing quite like a slice of jamón ibérico with your glass of Fino either, so, to top it all off, our head ham carver Yago will show you how to carve the perfect slice of one of the world’s most highly regarded cuts of meat. Stay for dinner after and you can enjoy an exclusive pairing menu for £30 just for attendees that includes ham croquettes, garlic soup, Iberian pork fillet and more.

Tasting Tales #3: Pudding wine & cheese tasting £30

When: Thursday 5th December, 6.30 – 7.30pm at Brindisa Where:  Tapas Brindisa Battersea

 

Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat. Well, the pigs in our world, but who’s judging. But in our book, the best thing about Christmas isn’t just the turkey or goose, but the chance to consume as much cheese as possible and wash it all down with a lot of delicious wine. So to get you in the Christmas spirit, we’ll be taking you through on a cheese-filled adventure with some of our finest festive Spanish cheeses. Each one will be perfectly paired with a glass of pudding wine, a bit of festive cheer, and a lot of ‘cheers’!

Tasting Tales #4: Blue monday special: foraging supper club £25 RRP £45

When: Monday 20th January, 6.30 – 9pm

Where:  Tapas Brindisa Battersea

 

It’s the perfect time of year for foraging all those wonderful funghi and more so we’re going to do just that. And then we’ll bring our findings to the table and cook it into a feast of a supper club for you! So, join us in our private dining room at Battersea to taste some of the freshest, seasonal ingredients cooked up in front of you by our head of kitchen operations. With an emphasis on vegan-friendly fare, our foraging supper club is the perfect way to cheer up your blue Monday. Sip on an alcohol free cocktail or a glass of wine or beer as you go.

Tasting Tales #5: Calcotada preview

When: Thursday 30th January, 6.30pm – 8.30pm

Where: Tapas Brindisa Shoreditch 

 

Calcotada season will be returning at the end of February, drum roll please! We are offering one early bird sneak preview to get the excitement going. So, it’s time to roll-up your sleeves, strap on a bib, strip and dip charred calçots in romesco sauce and pour wine into your mouth from great heights. And if you love it so much (which we have no doubt you will), you can come back every weekend in February, March and April for the full version including a table laden of delicacies!

 


 

tasting tales #6:  paella valenciana masterclass £25

When: Thursday 20th February, 6.30 – 8.30pm at Brindisa Where:  Tapas Brindisa Battersea 

 

Paella is a Spanish specialty, but they’re a Valencian staple and the Valencians are known to produce the most authentic version. So, you’ll be treated to a chef demonstration in our private dining room of how to cook the perfect Paella Valenciana whilst you enjoy pan de coca, mushroom croquettes, and Padrón peppers. Once the masterpiece has been created, you’ll be able to enjoy it of course! Paella with ganxet bean, rabbit, rosemary and snails – the perfect winter dish. Wash it all down with beer, a glass of red wine or a soft drink.

 


 

tasting tales #7:  father’s day special cheese & beer pairing £30

When: Thursday 19th March, 6.30 – 8.00pm at Brindisa Where:  Tapas Brindisa Shoreditch

 

You may be thinking Father’s Day in March, that’s Mother’s Day?! But in Spain the 19th March it’s ‘Dia del Padre or San Jose’, i.e. Father’s Day. So for those of you Spaniards out there, this is the perfect excuse to treat your dad! For the rest of you, you could tread dad anyway, or just come with mates – who needs a reason to go to a cheese & beer tasting anyway? So come down and learn (and eat of courses) about some of our fabulous Spanish cheeses all perfectly paired with a selection of craft beers.
